Citrus Expo 2008 - Aug. 20 & 21 Lee Civic Center, Ft. Myers
About Citrus Expo
Citrus Expo is the world’s premier seminar and trade show program for citrus growers and industry professionals, with a primary goal to provide unequalled education and industry fellowship opportunities annually for growers, industry leaders, decision-makers and vendors.
A two-day event held in August of each year, Citrus Expo is a self-sustaining event organized and operated by Southeast AgNet/Citrus Industry Magazine, which also operates the daily internet news portal www.agnetonline.com
The Citrus Expo Steering Committee includes growers and representatives from Gulf, Highlands and Peace River Valley Citrus Growers Associations, Florida Citrus Production Managers Association, University of Florida representatives including UF’s Citrus Research & Education Center Director, and exhibitor representatives.
A large portion of Expo proceeds are donated annually to support regional grower association programs and citrus research through UF/IFAS. During its first two years of Citrus Expo and Citrus Industry Magazine ownership, Southeast AgNet has directly donated more than $50,000 among three regional grower groups and UF/IFAS citrus research, all of whom help plan and implement the seminar programs.
Citrus Expo targets citrus growers of all types and sizes and professionals involved in citrus grower & industry group representation and research for free admission.
Complimentary attendance and hot lunch is provided both days to bona-fide grove owners & managers, citrus production managers, professional crop advisors, association representatives & board members and the citrus research community. Pre-registered growers are entered to win a John Deere Gun Safe sponsored by Everglades Farm Equipment.
Non-exhibiting company and vendor personnel may become a sponsor at any level for trade show, lunch and seminar admission, or purchase an individual one- or two-day admission pass.
